Counseling for Couples, Families & Individuals

A space to see more clearly.

I work with individuals and couples navigating relationships, uncertainty, and the moments in life when something needs to change.

My work is grounded in the belief that our greatest struggles can reveal what we cannot yet see on our own, opening the possibility for greater clarity, transformation, and a deeper understanding of who we are becoming.

You came here because you don't know what to do.

A relationship reaches an impasse. A familiar pattern becomes impossible to ignore. The life you have built no longer feels like the life you are meant to be living.

You may know that something needs to change without yet knowing what that change is.

I believe these moments are not simply problems to solve. They are thresholds.

They arise when something within us is ready to be seen, understood, and transformed.

My work begins there.

Before you decide what to do, understand what this moment is asking of you.

Most people come to therapy wanting an answer.Should I stay or leave? Can this relationship be saved?

Why does this keep happening to me? How do I make the right choice?

I believe there is a question that comes before all of these:

The relationship is not always the problem. Sometimes, it is the place of revelation.

I believe that our relationships are among the most profound spaces for transformation.

They are where we encounter not only another person, but ourselves. Our deepest longings, our oldest wounds, our fears, our patterns, and the parts of us still waiting to be fully seen often come alive within the intimacy of relationship.

The people we love can become mirrors, reflecting back aspects of ourselves that we may not yet have the capacity to see alone. And while this can be deeply uncomfortable, it can also be one of life's greatest invitations: an invitation to become more conscious, more whole, and more fully who we are.

Ways to work with Me

Couples

Couples

Before asking whether to stay or go, there may be something deeper to understand.

My work with couples creates space to look beyond the immediate conflict and explore what the relationship is revealing about each person and the space between them.

The goal is not to preserve every relationship, nor is it to lead people apart. It is to move beyond fear, anger, obligation, and reactivity toward greater love and clarity.

Shira Etzion believes that relationships are one of the most powerful arenas for both personal and relational actualization. Rather than focusing solely on the end question—“Do I stay or do I go?”—her work centers on creating space to explore what our relationships are here to teach us. Her intention is to support individuals in arriving at a place of love, clarity, and self-awareness, where they can ask from a grounded and sincere place: What is truly best for me and for this other person? From that place of both love and clarity, thoughtful and aligned choices can emerge.

Individuals

Individuals

Shira Etzion’s work on an individual level focuses on what the situational moments of conflict, tension, or uncertainty are asking of you. Often these moments are a part of what we cannot yet see alone for our own evolution. Her work centers on change at the identity level, not just the level of life circumstances. Each issue holds the seed for an identity shift, and as that shift occurs, choices and circumstances begin to change from a new sense of self. Rather than working issue by issue, this allows movement across multiple areas of a person’s life at once.

Every conflict contains an invitation.

The very experiences that challenge us may be revealing where we have outgrown an old version of ourselves and where a new one is beginning to emerge.

My work goes beyond solving one problem at a time. Together, we explore what your present circumstances may be asking you to see about yourself and who you are being invited to become through them.

Ketamine

Shira Etzion offers ketamine-assisted psychotherapy as a powerful modality for creating clarity and opening new pathways for change. These sessions are designed to gently but powerfully interrupt existing patterns, allowing clients to access a broader perspective on their thoughts, emotions, and life experiences. Through both preparation and integration, the work supports individuals in making sense of what arises and translating those insights into meaningful, aligned action. The intention is not just insight, but the ability to move forward with greater ease, clarity, and self-trust.

Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

When familiar ways of seeing begin to soften, new possibilities can emerge.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy can offer another way of accessing what may be difficult to reach through ordinary states of awareness alone.

The intention is not simply to have a profound experience, but to allow that experience to become a doorway to meaningful and lasting change.

My role is not to give you the answer.

It is to help you reach the place within yourself where the answer becomes clear.

You do not need to know the answer before you begin.

You may only know that something needs to change. That is enough.
